On Wednesday night, we hosted an informational evening that included whistle packing and bracelet making, focused on better understanding the needs of our immigrant community members and how we can support them. The message of the night was one of preparation. We encourage all community members to play a role in supporting our immigrant neighbors by helping plan for times when additional assistance may be needed, with a focus on safety for individuals and their dependents. Representatives from Safe Haven, The Circle, and Africans on the Eastside shared powerful stories, personal experiences, and answered important—and often difficult—questions. These resources will also be added to our new webpage to ensure continued access and support.
