LWPTSA Council is excited to shine the spotlight on Mann Elementary PTSA and Timberline Middle School PTSA.
LWPTSA wants to Spotlight Mann Elementary PTSA and their focus on schools who have a higher need. At their annual bookfair, they placed a box near their register with an ask to donate a book to a neighboring school with a greater need. With only one day of notice and communication, the event collected 120 books (posters and bookmarks too) to this school in need. Thank you for Mann Elementary PTSA for looking beyond your own school and building a bridge to those in need. Way to go Colts!
Timberline Middle School PTSA earned their LWPTSA Spotlight with their MLK Day of Service. More than 166 hours of service (100+ participants) culminated in:
- Made 350+ peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
- Packed 150 Street Kits for those experiencing homelessness
- Assembled 75 Comfort Bags with snacks and essential items
- Sewed 19 stuffed bears for children experiencing trauma
- Created MANY party masks and 100 party bags for children celebrating birthdays in area shelters, and
- Contributed to a community banner which celebrates our uniqueness and unity while raising funds for global organizations supporting peace!
Congratulations to Mann Elementary PTSA and Timberline Middle School PTSA on a job well done!
